Tailgaiting, Costume Sale, and Red/ White Week Info from the PTSA...

10/9/2015

Tonight at 5pm the Producers and the Vocal Department will host a tailgating party in part of the YPAS parking lot.  Food, drinks (non alcoholic) and fun before the St. X game.  For a $2 donation you can eat, drink and party.  For $10 you can eat, drink, party, AND ride a bus to and from Manual Stadium (to avoid parking issues, and/or ride issues).  All friends and family are welcome to attend.  Small note: this is not a D&P chaperoned event (meaning the D&P teachers will not be chaperoning students).

The giant COSTUME SALE is upon us (tomorrow 1-5:30pm)!  We have been pulling and pulling and now the Experimental is full!  Thanks so much for Volunteering and even if you aren't signed up...please stop by and shop!

Note from the Manual PTSA:
Here is a way to help make sure that the BEST WEEK EVER at Manual is tremendous fun for our hardworking students, AND help refugee students who are arriving right now in Louisville have the school supplies and clothes they need to attend school! And, to spice things up, we are COMPETING WITH MALE to see who can collect the most! Red/White Week 2015!
Red/White week, which leads up to the Manual/Male football game and the Battle for the Barrel, is full of great activities. There are many ways for you to be a part of the fun and help our students have a fantastic week.
Friday, October 16th - Decoration night - The students will be decorating the halls in preparation for the following week and they need our help. If you have ladders or scaffolding you can loan us or you can join in the decorating itself, that would be terrific! Ladders can be dropped off at Door/Exit #22 which is located next to the two green recycling dumpsters. All ladders will be stored in the archway/atrium area in the back of the Manual auditorium. You may bring them any day between Oct 12th-16th. Please make sure they are the "A" type and don't need to be leaned on anything. Also, please mark them with your name and phone number. We will also need adults to help our students that will be staying all evening and decorating. This is a bigger task than in previous years as they will be decorating all the dMHS buildings this time around so ladders and people are crucial to making this a success!! Last but not least, our awesome students will work up an appetite while working! We will need food donations for them to enjoy as well.
Monday October 19th, Ramstock - This music fest is held in the courtyard after school - Student bands play and provide plenty of entertainment. The PTSA will provide popcorn for the students and could use some help bagging it up and handing it out.
Wednesday October 21st, Mini Olympics - This event will feature carnival type booths set up in the gym - PTSA will be running the Duck Pond and supplying baked goods and candy for prizes. We could also few parents to help clean up so that the basketball team can practice.
Friday October 23, Game Day There will be a tug of war to celebrate so if you have a good tug of war rope or access to vast amounts of whipped cream please let us know!
Please contact Leslye Arnett at llalouky@gmail.com with any questions.
